Liver and broccoli

I can't believe it's already December!! Since I found out that my black kitty Fluffy is in the early stage of kidney disease, I changed my kitties diet.
Before I was only giving them dry food and can food, so I didn't know where to start or what to do. So, I'm learning through the internet and reading the recipe book.
Cats are the same as humans when it comes to what they like and don't like. Especially Fluffy, she doesn't eat much, so I started to worry a bit.
I thought that they probably wouldn't eat the beef liver but, I mixed the beef liver and can food together.
Then to my surprise, all of my kitties started to dive into their food, as if they were starving. I was so glad. I almost puked cooking the liver, but it was well worth it.
The other day, I was washing the broccoli, and tiny little florets fell, so I cooked them with chicken and mixed it with their can food. You can't tell if the broccoli is actually in it.
Then I noticed when Tara finished her food, she licked the plate completely clean and left one little tiny broccoli in her dish. I don't even know how she left only the broccoli, but it looked like as if she is saying, " Mommy, I don't like the veggie." I showed it to my husband, and we laughed about it.
I want my kitties to live a long healthy life, and if I can make a difference, I would like to keep continuing what I can.
