Is my pet happy?

Is my pet happy? Because I rescued him/her, I wonder what it was like in the past for them.
I've been asked this question a lot recently.
What do you think when you think about this question this way.
This picture is not far from the truth.
First of all, the animal stays in the present.
The human is the one who wonders about the past and ponders. The animal doesn't care what happened in the past.
When I asked them about it, usually they don't want to answer it or they won't tell me. It is because what happened in the past is nothing to do with the relationship with this human.
The human's soul decides before they were born what they want to learn in life, and the animal's soul has agreed to help learn this lesson, therefore, the animal who promised to help this human, will go to this human without fail whether rescued or not.
So, whatever "the past" this animal has had, there is no coincidence that this animal came to you, and they are teaching you the lesson that you want to learn.
For example, when you rescued a dog from a bunch of other dogs. You think you choose that particular dog, but in truth, the dog chooses you, and this dog is here for you.
When you look at it this way, your perspective changes, and how you feel about your pet changes too.
I mean for the better, deeper relationship with the animal.
