Real Cat TV on a Snowy Day

Hi everyone,

First of all, I would like to say thank you to the people whose paths crossed with mine and whom I got to know in 2025.

And I am already grateful for the people I will meet in 2026.

It snowed about 25 cm around where I live.

At this time of year, the birds outside don’t have much food, so I leave some out for them.

The Steller’s jays usually arrive first. I don’t know where they watch from, but they always know when food is out. Soon, they call their friends, big ones, small ones, red, blue, and orange ones.

I set up beds by the window so “real cat TV” plays all day for my kitties.

The birds know the kitties are there, but they also know they’re safe.

Pixie’s ears flatten, and he still tries to go after them, hitting the window.

Watching the birds and my kitties’ reactions is one of my happiest moments.

A couple of years ago, I wrapped jute cord around my kitchen table legs for scratching. It was worn out, so with the New Year coming, I finally replaced it.

It looked nice, and I was excited to show them.

Ruby woke up and came over, so I showed her the new scratching post, but she wasn’t interested at all.

I was a little disappointed when Cocoa came from behind me.

I didn’t say or do anything, but he noticed it right away and started using it.

He loved it and was all over it.

He made me so happy. I sprinkled some dried catnip that I had grown myself on it, and he loved it even more.

Do you do anything special for your fur baby?

Love and Peace,

Keiko
